- Thought I might explain Primrose, it was my mothers nickname given to her by her grandmother, my mum was Prim or Primrose, and my aunty was Rose, something to do with special days in England, Primrose Day and Rose day, anyway on all the letters my Great Grandmother wrote to my mum and dad they always started Dear Prim and Reg, so now you know!
